Underwater Paintings at the Leduc Civic Centre
I’m thrilled to share that my artwork is currently on display at the Leduc Civic Centre until the end of October. This community space is one of the central gathering spots in Leduc, and I’m honoured to have my underwater paintings featured there for visitors to enjoy.

The exhibit includes several large and small pieces from my ongoing series, which explores light, reflection, and the sense of calm found in water. The Civic Centre’s bright, open environment provides the perfect setting for these works—inviting people to pause, reflect, and experience art as part of their everyday surroundings.

For me, painting water has always been about more than surface beauty. It’s about capturing moments of stillness, memory, and connection. I hope that when people stop by the Civic Centre, they’ll see something familiar yet transformed in these works—whether it’s the shimmer of light across a lake, the silhouette of swimmers, or the way colours shift and ripple beneath the surface.

Having exhibitions like this one has been especially meaningful right now, since my home studio is under renovation. While the basement is being transformed, many of my paintings have found their way into public spaces—allowing them to be seen, enjoyed, and collected while I wait for my studio to be fully functional again.

This opportunity was made possible through the Leduc Foundry, which works hard to connect local artists with the wider community. I’m so grateful for their support in bringing my art into this beautiful public space.
If you’re in the area, I’d love for you to visit, take a closer look, and let me know which piece speaks to you.
If you’re not able to visit the Civic Center before the exhibition closes at the end of October, you don’t have to miss out. My original paintings are available for purchase directly through my website at vanessacorrigall.ca, and I also offer fine art prints through my online print shop.
Whether you’re looking for an original piece or a print for your home, this is a great way to bring the stillness and reflection of water into your own space.
