Serene Swimmer Paintings for Art Collectors Seeking Calm & Quiet Beauty

Discover original underwater acrylics and prints that invite reflection, wellness, and tranquility.

It all begins underwater

My paintings invite you into a quiet, meditative world beneath the surface—where sunlight dances on skin, water slows everything down, and movement softens into a peaceful rhythm.

Each piece captures that suspended world below: shifting light, fluid motion, and the blurred boundary between reality and abstraction. Through layers of color and calm, every painting becomes an invitation to pause, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself and the serenity only water can offer.

Meet Vanessa: Alberta’s Underwater Artist

Serene Swimmers. Shifting Light. Stillness in Motion.

Vanessa Corrigall is a Canadian artist known for her underwater paintings that explore light, movement, and the quiet serenity of being submerged. A lifelong swimmer, she captures the way water transforms the human form—distorted, reflective, and beautifully abstract.

Collectors are drawn to her work for its themes of wellness, fluid motion, and tranquility. Based in Leduc, Alberta, Vanessa creates from her home studio while also teaching high school art on a reserve and donating 5% of every sale to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Her work invites you to pause—breathe—and enter a space of reflection and calm.

Held by the Water, Held by Love
$1,800.00

In this tender lakeside scene, a father and daughter share a quiet moment suspended in time—half-submerged in the stillness of water, bathed in the soft glow of a setting sun. “Held by the Water, Held by Love” captures the deep connection between generations, the comfort of being seen, and the serenity that only nature—and love—can offer.

Painted in rich acrylic layers with a dreamy palette of warm sunset tones and cool reflections, this piece is part of Vanessa Corrigall’s signature ripples of reality series. Inspired by Alberta’s lakes and the sacredness of shared experience, the work invites the viewer to pause and feel the quiet strength of familial love.

A celebration of both memory and moment, this painting speaks to those who treasure connection, nostalgia, and the healing power of water.
